A radiograph (Figure 5A) revealed a fused talonavicular joint with evidence of subtalar arthritis. She underwent subtalar joint arthrodesis via a lateral approach and navigation-assisted percutaneous screw fixation of the subtalar joint.

Intraoperative 3-D imaging and navigation has been used for percutaneous retrograde drilling of early osteochondral lesions of the talus.
